5. Can I visit Bhutan on my own? Is it mandatory to book my trip through a local tour operator?

No, it is not possible to visit Bhutan independently. Bhutan has a policy of "High Value, Low Impact" tourism, which requires all visitors to book their trip through a licensed Bhutanese tour operator, such as Integrity Bhutan Tour. The tour operator will handle the necessary arrangements, including visa processing, hotel bookings, and guided tours, to ensure a smooth and regulated visit to Bhutan.

No, international tour agencies are not allowed to arrange trips to Bhutan directly. All tours to Bhutan must be arranged through licensed Bhutanese tour operators. 9. Do I need a VISA to visit Bhutan? How do I apply for a tourist Visa?

With the exception of Indian, Bangladeshi and Maldivian, all tourists visiting Bhutan must apply for a tourist visa prior to their arrival to Bhutan. Tourist Visa can be processed through a local tour operator. You will need to submit a duly filled Visa form, scanned copy of your passport (with at least a validity of 6 months). The Tourism Council of Bhutan approves your Visa upon the full payment for your trip.
